Thanksgiving Festivities

I started the Thanksgiving holiday with a visit from Scott, Beth, and Sarah, the boys. We enjoyed eating at Matta's (one of Scott's favorite AZ resturants)nearly escaping a tragic quesadilla incident.

Did a little shopping with Beth, Sarah, and Ryan, while the other boys were bonding with their dad at the Bass Pro Shop!

Ryan found these sweet shades!

Ryan and I took Molly for a couple of walks up and down the street, stopping to throw the occasional rock back into someone's yard.

Then off to CA with my traveling buddy Jared. While Beth, Scott, Sarah and the boys entertained Kelli for one more night. It took us 7 1/2 hours instead of 5 1/2 hours to reach our exchange point in the heart of Fillipino town. Yes, you read that right, Filipino town, it is posted on a real State issued sign. Ummm...what??

Arriving close to midnight - off to BK with the parentals I went. We had a interesting group for Thanksgiving. Mom was a little on edge, with this year's turkey being the 2nd one she's cooked. She did an amazing job...even if she "won't do it again!"

This is the face you get when you say you're going to be late to Thanksgiving dinner because you are golfing!

Normally my aunt cooks the turkey. The guest list included the crazy cat lady (an unfortunate glimse at my future! Yikes!), 2 germans and 1 danish, two of three bros, mom, dad, and 1 of the 8 grandkids, 1 cousin and fiance. We played a fantastic game of phase 10!No one cried...at least not on the outside.

I was able to meet Brad and Reiko's new baby - Jaemie.

It was a fun visit though many were missing!

My little brother Brandt gave me a ride back to Filipino town. Thanks Brandty!

Jared had the great idea to bring wood back in his truck, so my Dad was extra sweet and loaded up the truck, then Brandt and Jared helped load it into Jared's truck! Thanks again for all your help! Kelli and I will now be super toasty all winter long...for FREE! Take that SRP!!!

The return trip wasn't quite as long, however, it did take an hour to go 15 miles because of road construction.

Being trapped in a vehicle leads you to do some silly things to entertain yourself.
(see photos below)

Got some sweet looks from a old dude in a mini van...it was probably the flashing! (the camera flash...you sick-o)

Jared had a prior job at Disneyland - I tease him that he played Prince Charming (which he has yet to officially deny) but now I am thinking Aladin. What do you think?
