Birthday fun....

As you may know my birthday aka: princess day is tomorrow. Since I am in CA already, my co-worker treated me to early b-day festivities. I had lunch with girls... a big THANK YOU to Angelina, Angela, and Emily. You ladies are great!
On Friday Val gave me a very special gift...yet fitting somehow...let me know what you think.

Kelli also gave me a crown....hmmmm....is there a theme?

Christmas tree, stockings, & cards oh my!

Our Christmas tree this year is decorated with brightly colored ornaments and butterflies. Kelli and I figure what the heck we're both girls why not have a girly tree. I had a great time decorating the tree. Thanks Kel.

Stockings...Kelli has 2 this year. Here lil' sister Cari sent her a stocking. Thanks Cari!

Twilight withdrawls...

So you've finished Twilight. You've seen the movie. What now??? You can be like my roommate Kelli and reread the parts of the Twilight series that you loved (skipping the bad IE.: chapters where Edward is away and Jacob is being a jerk) or may I suggest a new series. The Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead.
While the vampire roles are different, you will fall in love with the characters in this series as well. So what if it's from the teen section...it's clean and entertaining, which is more than I can say for most adult books. Why do authors think that just because I know what the "naughty" and how to use curse words, that I would like to read it and have it permanently etched in my memory. Ummm...wrong! I'll take the teen section any day!

Guests!

Beth & Scott and the boys are on their way to AZ today, for Beth's brother Tim's wedding on the 21st. They will be (cross your fingers) staying the night at the swinging baccalaureate pad! Wahoo!

I tag....

Reiko, Kristi, Cheryl, Beth, and Amy/Nik!

six QuIrKy things....

My friend, Jessie, tagged me, so now I have to share 6 quirky things about myself.

1. My arms are double jointed...

2.I only need to wear one contact...yep blind in one eye! Jealous!

3. I'm a little clumsy. I was sharing with my mom one day how I remember always spilling my milk at the dinner table, to which she said, "we thought getting you glasses would help with that, but it didn't." I thought I'd gained control over that clumsy trait till recently. Kelli and I were at lunch when I somehow knocked over my full cup of soda, which ran over the edge of the table, onto my pants, and yes into my shoes. I think it may be more of a talent than a flaw. What do you think?

4. According to my Mom I always leave doors and draws open...she says I get that from my Dad. I don't mind.I am just letting you know I've been there. What's so wrong with that?

5. I attrack strange and or interesting people, people who share random personal stories. Hmmm...maybe that means I'm weird and I just don't know it! Someone tell me if you find out I've told a complete stranger something bizare and personal.

6. I am not a ding dong, twinkie, cup cake eater. I know it's a little un-american of me, I'm sorry! But that mystery cream filling...yuck!

Rock Chip Guy

Okay so you want more...fine! So it has been a while since some random person has included me in their random life...so this Saturday when it happened again it reminded me who I am.

I went to the car wash to get the Ruby Red washed. She's been feeling a little neglected. And that's where it happened.
The rock chip guy noticed I had a couple of chip in my window, he wanted to repair them. Great go ahead. Then he noticed my plates asked me where I live in UT, I said Ogden. Go O-town! He proceeded to tell me that he had gone to UVSC in Provo. Then he asked if I moved with my family....hmmm..tricky answer...so he got the truth...I was married now I am divorced...so no. Maybe a little awkward for him, but he asked. I thought the conversation was over because of the silence. I was wrong. After he finished the repair, he came in to call the insurance company. And suddenly we were the best of friends. He told me his wife had him on a diet, even though she needed to be on one too, but then clarified that it was okay since she was 8 months pregnant. Then he tells me that she has cravings that she tells him about. He continues...like the other night they are in bed (I wasn't sure I should be hearing about what goes on in their bed but...) and he hears this rustling sound from her side. He asks her what she is doing and she says, "Nothing". So he was forced to turn on the light. She had hidden a bag of chocolate under the bed and was trying to sneak a piece. You would think that would be plenty for a stranger to know about you...but it didn't stop their. I also learned: his sister got married moved to AZ, his parents then moved from CA to AZ to be around the grandkids, and then he moved to AZ. It's a nice place. He is from Pismo Beach. Oh! And he is having a little girl, this is his first.
Not only are the chips in my life filled, I have a new friend.

Moral of the story: Perfect strangers can be friends too.

More for Lesa

Just a little ride around camp

Is that a bench?

Attack!

This one is funny. It is a result of a question. What question you are wondering. The answer is "Is that your boyfriend you're teasing?" I think we can tell how she really feels.

Pics for Lesa

So I tried and tried to email these photos from the sand dune trip to Lesa. But my computer will not behave...something about the file size being too big...oh...it's soooooo picky. So Lesa these are for you!

Auri and Logan. Soul mates?

Drink water!

So I am a little bored today. So I decided to research the recommended daily water intake. Here is the formula take 75% of your weight and turn that number into ounces. Add 16 ounces if you live a dry climate, add 16 more if you exercise. Example: if you weigh 105- 75% would be 78.75 ounces. Happy drinking!

Before I left Utah I spent a week at the St. Anthony sand dunes in Idaho with the family. I brought my friend Lesa's three girls, Abby, Auri, and Ashley.
